Mario Kart is one of the most popular Nintendo franchises and there have been numerous versions over the years and decades.
Super Mario Kart - Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)
The first game in the series was released in Japan and North America in 1992, and in Europe the following year in 1993.
It sold 8.76 million copies worldwide and the game went on to become the fourth best selling SNES game of all time

Mario Kart 64 - Nintendo 64
The sequel to Super Mario Kart was released in Japan in December 1996, in North America in February 1997 and in the U.K. in June 1997.
Mario Kart 64 was commercially successful and was praised for the fun and high replay value of its multiplayer modes. Some reviewers did regard it as a disappointment compared to Super Mario Kart.
This was the first game to feature Wario and Donkey Kong. They replaced Koopa Troopa and Donkey Kong Jr.
