Pick a theme for your team pretty quickly and then build a team around that. It's also a fairly cost effective way of building a team. For example, you can build a decent Premier League 11 for around 30-40,000 coins.

Or how about some solid attacking players for less than 10,000 coins.

Or how about building a team based on who you support? For example, if you're a Manchester United fan, you can probably a decent MUFC side for around 100,000 coins.

With between 18,000 and 30,000 coins, you can usually purchase Anthony Martial.

Squad Battles

Squad Battles will be where you spend most of your time. There are huge coin rewards every week and also packs are given out to help you boos your squad.

You will also find that if you have high enough chemistry, matches against A.I opponents will be a lot easier, even on Legendary on World Class difficulties. 

Gameplay

Like the other modes on Fifa, quick and athletic players can often have the most impact.

I have found that the best formation is either a 4-3-3 (with a false 9) or the classic 4-4-2.
